Jon Demirel is a Multimedia Artist, UI/UX Designer, Typographer, Motion Designer, and Graphic Designer. Graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in Wisconsin, Milwaukee with Honors. He specializes in commercial and advertising design. Beyond design, he has a passion for fine arts, philosophy and film.
He currently works as a freelance designer for several companies and design agencies.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, he attended a prominent Fine Art Highschool where he was trained in Plastic Arts (Sculpture, Painting, Graphite) before moving to the US. Growing up in and around printing presses, advertisement agencies and graphic design studios made this line of work second nature to him.
As a child, Jon received many small-scale awards and recognition from art communities in Istanbul due to his creative spirit and strong body of work. Only one year after moving in the middle of his high school career to another country, Demirel became the President of the National Art Honor Society's local chapter. During this time he has won first and second place in several Midwestern regional art competitions. Noticed by his instructors, Demirel goes on to design the class shirt for three classes as well as posters and brochures for his high school.
