For my typography class, we were tasked with creating a type specimen book for a font of our choice. I chose Avenir, a timeless classic, and chose the topic of the history of armaments. I used different weights of Avenir to depict a summarized history of weaponry from all ages from spears to nuclear bombs. The ten-page booklet not only displays different ways Avenir can be used but also creates playful illustrations using the lettering. As a huge fan of history and typography, this project was a blast to work on.
